Steve has more than 35 years’ experience of civil engineering and highways contracts, particularly those utilising the NEC3 Option A & C form of contract, and has gained extensive expertise in change control procedures and risk management.

Steve has recently completed 3 schemes for John Sisk, a £20m highways project for Rochdale Council, a £17m highways improvement project for Salford Council and a £17m light rail project for Blackpool Council. Prior to that he also completed a £49m multi-storey car park scheme for Manchester Airport Group under the NEC Option A form of contract and has delivered schemes such as the Edge Lane Reconstruction for Liverpool City Council, a number of Highway schemes for South Tyneside Council in addition to projects for Manchester City Council and Salford City Council.

Steve has previously worked for John Sisk, Galliford Try, Balfour Beatty and Birse Civils as a Commercial Manager and worked successfully with many Clients in both the private and public sector.

Ian has more than 35 years’ experience of civil engineering and highways contracts having worked for McNicholas Construction, John Sisk, Birse Civils, Galliford Try and Balfour Beatty working in the construction sector as a Site Engineer, progressing to Section Engineer, Sub-Agent, Site Agent, Project Manager followed by Contracts Manager.

Ian is hardworking, organised, resourceful, helpful and likeable with a professional, positive attitude and approach to all projects undertaken. A keen motivator who will always try to see the positive in people and doesn’t like to give up easily.

Ian has successfully carried out these roles working for both main contractors and sub-contractors and has  been involved in most aspects of Civil Engineering works including RC works, roads and sewers, drainage, Section 278 works, general groundworks and external works and has also worked within the housing sector.

Ian recently oversaw 3 schemes for John Sisk, a £20m highways project for Rochdale Council, a £17m highways improvement project for Salford Council and a £17m light rail project for Blackpool Council.

When not overseeing projects reaching a successful conclusion for all parties involved, Ian enjoys spending time with his family, walking Benji the family cockerpoo, fishing and supporting Manchester City.
